Lunch-and-Learns

AYM lunch-and-learns are fully interactive 1, 2 or 3-hour sessions created to simultaneously engage and educate participants. Choose virtual online presentations or in-person seminars. Presenters are doctors, nurses, wellness instructors, and industry professionals.

Live, Work, Play in the New Normal

Since the 2020 pandemic quarantine, the way we live, work, and socialize has been completely altered. In this interactive workshop, learn a variety of techniques for handling anxiety and fear as the world reopens. Pick up tips for managing relationships with family, co-workers, and friends, as well as coping techniques for our own mental health.

"No offense, but..." (D.E.I. Series for the Workplace)

This 4-week series is composed of interactive sessions, role play, and case studies to assist those working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures in creating a comfortable environment of acceptance.

Intro to Meditation

**Company Favorite** This session introduces various meditation styles and practices in short interactive sessions of breathing exercises, guided focus activities, visualization, sound healing, and gentle physical movements for stress-relief. Aromatherapy may be incorporated for in-person classes.

Work Your Body Type

**Company Favorite** Learn the difference among the body types – endomorphs, ectomorphs, and mesomorphs – and common variations. Get tips for eating and exercising for each specific type to get the look you want. Participants may have their body type determined during the session.

Cooking Demonstration

AYM chefs and nutritionists will make healthy, tasty meals and drinks for your group to sample. Choose from smoothies, juices, salads, seafood or meat-based meals, and plant-based substitutes.

Caregiver Timeout

Caregivers are often juggling work, family, and the additional responsibilities of caring for a loved one with long-term illness. In this session, identify signs of caregiver burnout, learn self-care techniques, and get resources for caregiver support from one of AYM’s doctors or nurses.

Disconnect to Reconnect

Learn why, how, and when to disconnect from electronics, difficult situations, and toxic people. Discuss how disconnecting can be beneficial to deep REM sleep, focus/concentration, and mental & physical well-being, and time management.

Fit Quiz

**Company Favorite** This game-show style lunch-and-learn divides the audience into teams to test knowledge and teach about fitness, nutrition, and health. It’s a fun and exciting way to learn about health and wellness.

#MenToo

Men are often affected by the same health challenges as women. Learn about lesser-known medical issues facing men as they age, and pick up tips for working with a physician to optimize male health in these areas.

Workout @ Work

**Company Favorite** Learn multiple workout routines to easily and safely perform in and around the office (with or without equipment) for all fitness levels.

Eat the Elephant

“Q: How do you eat an elephant? A: One bite at a time.” Learn how to break down big ideas & projects into doable action items. Discuss time management, focus exercises, and real life “just do it” techniques for different personality types and work styles.

Reduce Risk of Cancer through Nutrition

Research and clinical tests prove certain superfoods and specific nutrients reduce the risk of cancer. Learn which foods to avoid and which ones to include in your diet to prevent and lower the risk of primary and secondary cancers.

What's Up Doc?

AYM’s doctors or nurses will share important tips in preparing for any medical visit and communicating effectively with your medical practitioner to get the most out of every trip to the doctor, pharmacy, or therapist for you or a loved one.

Which Way Do I Go?

Learn how to use online technology to navigate the maze of the U.S. healthcare system. Get tips on how to prepae you or a loved one for before, during, and after a medical visit to decrease anxiety, improve the quality of a visit, and minimize “unknowns”.

Still Healing

Working onsite while managing an illness may be uncomfortable for both the employee and the people they work with. Discuss when and how to disclose an illness, how to feel your best at work, and how to prepare for an extended absence. On the other side, learn how to work effectively and empathetically with a co-worker dealing with a health challenge.

Food Facts & Fiction

Dissect popular trends in the world of healthy eating to determine what’s fact, fiction, and truly healthy based on current research.

Nothin' but Net

Online or in-person, there’s a skill to networking. Learns the do’s and don’ts of building your network of professional associates in-person or via social media.
